The Embassy - London

Embassy, situated in the heart of Mayfair, is named after the infamous 80’s Embassy Club, it is owned by Mark Fuller.

Designed by Craig Moffett architects, Embassy has undergone a three month £1.5 million refurbishment programme. The interior of the restaurant has a contemporary feel, reminiscent of Vienna in the 1920’s. A colour palette of sand, beige, gold and blue is set against dark wood. The lower ground floor is both opulent and decadent, with an eclectic mix of rich coloured fabrics and wave-shaped seating which, with the strong use of light, give an overall hedonistic feel. A perfect backdrop for a relaxed private lounge where, membership will be invited by a core committee.

Criteria

To design and supply and install a new kitchen for Garry Hollihead, within an existing site famously and formerly known as “Legends”.

We met the client on-site the day before they exchanged on the property as we needed to get a good start. The project was only to be nine weeks from start to finish and Hansens were in on weeks 8 and 9.

Result

Since opening night, Embassy London has had some quite extraordinary food reviews. Everyone being so impressed by Garry's flair to taste and detail. It is probably the most talked about restaurant in London. We hope our kitchen has something to do with this!!

Addendum

Hansens have now been commissioned to design, supply and install equipment to Mark and Garry's new venture - The Marquee Restaurant and live music venue, Islington, N1.
